Since 1992, ERI has served as the prime contractor for the Swiss HSK and the Swiss Federal Office for Foreign Affairs in implemention of the Swiss Technical Assistance programs to Russia, Ukraine and Slovakia. Specific projects include:

• Training of the staff of Scientific Engineering Center (SEC) for Nuclear & Radiation Safety (NRS) of the Russian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (GAN) in performance of a full scope (Level-1, 2 & 3 including external events) PSA for Novovorenzh-5 (VVER-1000) nuclear power plant.

• Training of the staff of the Slovak Nuclear Regulatory Authority (UJD) in performance and regulatory evaluation of deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis documents.

• Training of the staff of the State Scientific & Technical Center (SSTC) of the Ukrainian Administration for Nuclear Regulatory Safety in development of an event reporting system, and a performance indicator system for Ukrainian nuclear power plants
